Jahana Hayes Remains Silent while U.S.
is Rocked by Joblessness and Anarchy
“The U.S. economy needs to re-start and grow. Prior to the pandemic, our nation enjoyed record breaking job growth, especially in Black and Latino communities. We need to end the economic hardship millions are now experiencing,” said David X. Sullivan, a former career Federal prosecutor and the Republican candidate for Congress in the 5th District of Connecticut.
“Yet, Jahana Hayes remains silent and disengaged as the calamity of historically high unemployment festers. Now, lawlessness is spreading like a plague. The future of our nation is not a political game. It’s time for our elected officials to step up and take action. We need a representative in Congress willing to use their voice and provide leadership while so many American cities are in turmoil.”
“So far, the 5th District has been spared the lawless anarchy that has infected urban areas such as New York City, Minneapolis, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Fortunately, there are some leaders in Connecticut, in both the public and private sectors, who have helped maintain the peace in cities like Danbury and Waterbury and elsewhere in the 5th District and around the state.”
“Sadly, many peaceful demonstrations across the nation have devolved into mob rule as lawless protestors deface and tear down monuments in defiance of state and Federal law. These perpetrators, who destroy the images of men such as George Washington and Ulysses S. Grant, are not attempting to improve our nation, they are seeking to destroy it.”
“Criminal vandals are domestic terrorists and must be stopped and held accountable for their destructive and lawless actions. If left unchecked, they will broaden their targets. Nothing will prevent them from wreaking more havoc in our communities, neighborhoods and homes.”
“The choice is clear. We are either a nation of laws, or we surrender to anarchy and mob rule. We must choose law and order. To quote a favorite progressive mantra, ‘silence is consent.’ Every day Jahana Hayes fails to address anarchy, her silence will be perceived as acquiescence to this wave of lawlessness.”
“Aside from ignoring the anarchy plaguing our larger cities, Jahana Hayes gives little more than lip service to fixing the economic crisis the nation is trying to exit. She continues to blindly and obediently follow a Speaker of the House that she had pledged not to support two years ago. Once again, she serves as a rubber-stamp for Nancy Pelosi’s $3 trillion HEROES Act. That bill is ‘DOA’ in the Senate and fixes nothing. It is nothing more than an extreme Far Left wish list and socialist spending scheme, when what we need is a targeted strategy to revive our private sector economy.”
“The sad truth is Jahana Hayes’ lack of leadership in Congress — supporting deficit spending and ignoring lawlessness — has been hardly heroic.”
