David X. Sullivan, a former career Federal prosecutor, has won the unanimous endorsement of the Meriden Police AFSCME Local #1016 in his run for Congress in the 5th District of Connecticut.

“The 116 sworn officers of Meriden Police AFSCME Local #1016 endorse David X. Sullivan for United States Congress,” said Mr. Brian Wilkinson, vice president of the union. “David has devoted his life to fighting for what is right through procedural justice. During his 30 years as a Federal prosecutor he has forged genuine relationships within our family so that we may be equipped with a foundation of support that will better serve our community. He has an expert understanding of modern law enforcement issues and what it takes to make a safer Connecticut. Simply put, he cares.”

“I am honored by this endorsement,” said Mr. Sullivan. “I will continue to advocate for our dedicated law enforcement officers, both in Washington and in Hartford. When elected, I will work hand in hand with law enforcement to help them as they serve law-abiding citizens who depend on our police officers for safety in their homes and communities.”
