Middlebury Police Officers Endorse
David X. Sullivan for Congress
David X. Sullivan, a former 30-year career Federal prosecutor, has won the unanimous endorsement of the Middlebury Fraternal Order of Police Local 34 in his run for Congress in the 5th District of Connecticut.
“Mr. Sullivan has a lifetime of experience working with all levels of Federal, state and local law enforcement right here in Connecticut,” said Sgt. George Slaiby, president of the ten-member bargaining unit for police officers in Middlebury. “He understands and appreciates the risks and challenges that our dedicated police officers face every day when performing essential law enforcement duties.”
“Mr. Sullivan has also demonstrated, especially over the past few months, that he will be a strong voice for all law enforcement, for the residents we serve in Middlebury, and for all law-abiding citizens across the state when he is elected to Congress in November.”
“I am honored by this endorsement and vote of confidence by the law enforcement officers in Middlebury. I will work hard in D.C. to maintain their valued trust, and to protect their future and future of everyone in the 5th District,” Mr. Sullivan said.
