New Milford Police Officers
Endorse David X. Sullivan for Congress
David X. Sullivan, a former 30-year career Federal prosecutor, has won the unanimous endorsement of the New Milford Police Union – COPS Local 47 — in his run for Congress in the 5th District of Connecticut. The New Milford P.D. union consists of 42 sworn police officers.
“On behalf of the New Milford Police Union, I would like to thank David X. Sullivan for taking the time to speak with our members regarding current issues surrounding Law Enforcement and the communities they serve,” said New Milford Police Sergeant James Brady, who also serves as president of the union.
“There is a great deal at stake in this election,” he continued. “During these challenging times for Law Enforcement we need leaders like David in Congress to help us keep our communities safe.”
“I’ve worked with all levels of law enforcement – Federal, state and local – across Connecticut during my career,” added Mr. Sullivan. “I fully support them and their tireless and professional efforts to keep our residents and communities safe.”
“Like the several other endorsements from Law Enforcement I received in this campaign I welcome this vote of confidence. I will continue to advocate for our dedicated law enforcement officers, both in Washington and in Hartford.”
