David X. Sullivan, a former 30-year career Federal prosecutor, has won the unanimous endorsement of the Southbury Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #35 in his run for Congress in the 5th District of Connecticut. The Southbury Police Union consists of 22 sworn police officers.
“In David Sullivan’s 30 years of experience as an Assistant United States Attorney, he has worked hand-in-hand with law enforcement at all levels in Connecticut,” said Chris Grillo, president of the Southbury FOP Lodge #35.
“He has proven to be a strong advocate for law enforcement,” Mr. Grillo continued. “David is the representation we need for the 5th District and will put the safety of our citizens and communities first.”
“Law enforcement is a respected and honorable profession and absolutely essential to assuring the safety of our citizens in their homes, communities, places of worship, and schools,” said Mr. Sullivan. “I am honored by this endorsement and will work hard in Washington to support the Southbury police officers, as well as those across the state, along with all the law-abiding citizens they serve.”
